"Goat Nickel" donation
We are happy to announce that we presented the first $130 check to the IUSB Center for a Sustainable Future.
Where did the money come from?
The Co-op made the donation - but we are relying on our customers to tell us where to donate. Each time you use a reusable container at Purple Porch, we'll give you a goat nickel for you to place in one of three jars as you leave the store.
We'll be doing a donation on a quarterly basis. And the concept is that we will not rotate community partners. We think that more can be accomplished by showing a commitment toward a consistent couple of non-profit organizations.
The Ballots are in!
It was so great to see a good turnout for our Annual meeting last night. With the beautiful weather, we were surprised to get as many as we did. But its a great sign to have Member-owners enjoying the community aspect of our co-op (the food was great!) - and participating in the democratic process.
Seventy ballots were cast. And every one on the ballot was elected to serve on the Board of Directors starting this May. Molly Moon, Danielle Meersman and Mike Geglio will be returning to the Board and Eddie Forero will be the new Director.
We Need Your Voice
Co-ops exist to serve the needs of its Member-owners.
All customers and Member-owners are encouraged to take about 15 minutes to give us your frank and thoughtful feedback by completing this survey. And to encourage people to participate, we will be drawing four recipients of a $25 PPC gift card. The survey can be anonymous. But, we need your email to let yo know if you won (that is the only purpose of collecting your email address, it will not be otherwise tied to your response).
Your feedback will be an important consideration as we develop a long-range plan for the Co-op this year.
Please also forward this link to your friends and family that you know patronize the Co-op.

Benefits of Member-owners
Did you know that Member-owners purchase salad bar, hot bar in Cafe Max at a lower price. Member-owners pay $8.49/lb as a way for us to say thank you. Those that still haven't made the decision to become a Member-owner pay 50 cents more per pound.
